Abstract In this study, we evaluate the suitability of recent Earth Gravitational Models (EGMs) for realization International Height Reference System (IHRS) in Canada. Topographic gravity field models have been used to augment EGMs spatial resolution reaching 2 ′ (about 4 km), which is comparable regional geoid models. The advantages using an EGM over a approach IHRS are its uniform representation Earth’s and conformance international standards conventions. main challenge access to, best use knowledge topographic data.
